The Ballard Jazz Festival, a cornerstone of the Northwest Jazz and live music scene since 2003, celebrates each year with a multi-day schedule of events bringing the finest jazz to the Northwest. The festival has held home-base at several venues throughout the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard for several events including; The Saturday Night Mainstage Concert, The perennially-packed Friday night Ballard Jazz Walk features more than a dozen bands in several venues along historic Ballard Avenue that showcases some of the nation's finest musicians who happen to make their homes in the Northwest. The festival kicks off with 2 nights of themed events at Ballard's Sunset Tavern - Wednesday evening's Brotherhood of the Drum features bands led by some of the premier drummers of the region, and on Thursday, The Guitar Summit, with internationally-acclaimed guitarists from around the globe. Wrapping up the festival is a morning Swedish Pancake Jazz Brunch traditionally held at the Nordic Heritage Museum.
